Fitness and regular physical activities in many ways affect your brain and mental activities in a positively way that ultimately  enhance mental health, reduce risk of mental illnesses like depression and success in everyday life. And here are some of the benefits that regular exercising can have on your mental functions:

-Boost memory: Exercise has many effects that enhances memory and helps you recalling information better and faster. It increases blood flow to the brain, reduces insulin resistance, reduces inflammation, and increasing growth factors which are responsible for new blood vessels formation and growth of nervous tissue.
Researches have found also that parts of brain tissue responsible for memory and thinking are larger in size in people who regularly exercise than people who don't. Of these parts is the hippocampus, the part of the brain that is primarily responsible for memory,
that shown to be lager in those who regularly do exercises.

-Enhance mood: Regular training and exercising helps you feel more comfortable, happy and reduces the risk of depressive disorders. This because exercise:
➧ Increases the release of neurochemicals like serotonin and endorphins which make you feel happy and pleased and experience less pain and disappointment.
➧ On the long run one will be glad of being in shape
Exercise is a great way to improve your mood. Studies showed that regular exercise alone can treat mild to moderate depression without needing medications. It also decreases the risk of having major depression.

-Concentration:
Regular daily exercising is associated with increased concentration and attention abilities of your brain which also contributes in having sharp and clear memory and decreases the risk of age related mental disorders like Alzheimer disease.
